Selamat Menonton!
=========================================

Europe on Screen is pleased to announce its fourth edition of the European Film Festival in Indonesia. In the last few years, Europe on Screen has grown into one of the most-anticipated film festivals in Indonesia. With its growing audience and involvement of local partners, Europe on Screen celebrates European and Indonesian cinema, supports new filmmakers and enhances awareness, accessibility and understanding of the cinematic art among a broad and diverse film-going audience.

This year, Europe on Screen is ready to start its journey in Jakarta (5-12 November 2010) and six different cities in Indonesia (Bandung,Yogyakarta,Semarang, Surabaya, Bali, and Banda Aceh) from 29 October-30 November 2010. With EUROPE IN MOTION as its theme, the festival will present 40 films (29 fiction films, 8 documentaries and two short films) from 24 countries. We will also screen 25 Indonesian short films. This special focus aims to contribute to the discussion about the meaning of new mobility and transformations in European space. In the context of film screening, we focus on films and filmmakers who open up new perspectives on changing topographies of the continent. The central theme of the festival is the growing importance of social change as a result of political transformation, economic crisis, migratory movement as well as the connecting links between them. Besides the regular programme of film screenings, Europe on Screen in collaboration with Jakarta Arts Council will also organize a film financing workshop.

We hope that the festival will be an enjoyable event for all. November)
